In the middle of Pleasant Valley on the Yampa River is a homesteaded ranch 15 minutes from our shop. This idyllic setting has about one mile of intimate trout water ready to challenge the experienced angler, but is also easy enough for the beginner. This section is located between Lake Catamount and Stagecoach Reservoir and is also a year-round fishery from mid June through March with some of the biggest fish seen anywhere; especially in October and again in February and March. All styles of fly fishing using dries, nymphs, and streamers can be productive in this clear water stream.
